Themes
Open Settings > General > Appearance to see the theme picker.
Selecting a Theme
The theme section shows a grid of theme swatches — small preview cards showing how each theme looks. Click any swatch to apply it instantly.
System Theme
Click the "System" button to follow your operating system's dark/light mode preference. Pandev will automatically switch themes when your OS switches.
Available Themes
Pandev includes a variety of dark and light themes. Each theme controls:
- Background and surface colors
- Text and muted text colors
- Accent/brand colors
- Border colors
- Syntax highlighting colors in code blocks
- Terminal colors
UI Scale
Below the theme picker, choose a UI Scale:
| Scale | Description |
|---|---|
| 90% | Compact — fits more content on screen |
| 100% | Default — standard sizing |
| 110% | Comfortable — slightly larger text and elements |
| 120% | Large — easier to read, fewer items visible |
The scale affects all text, buttons, icons, and spacing throughout the app.
Terminal Appearance
In Settings > General > Terminal:
- Font Size — Adjust the terminal font size with
+and-buttons. Affects both the Claude terminal and the independent terminal panel.
Terminal fonts use the stack: Geist Mono, JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, monospace.
Code Syntax Highlighting
Code blocks in Claude's chat responses use theme-aware syntax highlighting:
- Dark themes use the One Dark color scheme
- Light themes use the One Light color scheme
The highlighting automatically adapts when you switch themes.
